There is a lot of new information in the media these days about the best ways to stay healthy. In this session Dr. du Quesnay will help navigate your way through, giving you the information you need to boost your family's immunity with a few simple steps.

Tuesday, March 22nd: Parenting the Learning Disabled Child - Rick Lavoie (7pm-9pm in Ajax)
It is very important that parents and professionals come to understand the significant impact that the child with learning problems has upon a family. Although these children contribute their special gifts to the family life, they can also complicate and compromise the day to day functioning of the household. This seminar is designed to explain the various reactions of family members to the learning disabled child and offer special suggestions to ensure the successful integration of the child into the family. The seminar is useful for parents and relatives of teh special needs child, but may be particularly helpful for the professionals who provide services for these families.

Come and learn some simple ways to prevent those recurring ear infections from bothering your little ones. You'll learn about what's happening inside the ear, what can affect it, what can help keep it healthy, and how to prevent ear infections in babies and children.

Sunday, April 10th: Sleep Solutions for New Parents 3pm to 4:30pm (Whitby)
We know what every new parent wants: sleep! Babies have their plans when it comes to sleep and waking through the night, but did you know there are some easy things you can do that will help your baby develop healthy sleep habits? In this session we'll discuss: why babies wake so often, what you can do to set a good bedtime routine, how you can help your baby to sleep better, and more.

Sunday, May 15th: Preparing for Life With Baby: Establishing a Postpartum Plan, 3pm to 4:30pm (Whitby)
Having a baby is arguably the biggest life change you'll ever make. This workshop will help you prepare for life with baby.  You will be given helpful, practical advice that will equip you to deal with some of the bumps in the road that are expected in early parenthood. You will leave the workshop with a plan that is tailored to your family's needs. In this session we'll discuss: how to prepare in your last trimestre of pregnancy, the impact of birth on your transition to parenthood, how to get prepared for your new baby in your home and in your life.
